Chiang Mai – CityNews

The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Centre, Chiang Mai Provincial Office announced today that winter in the north has already begun.

They said firstly Chiang Mai will experience some stormy days, and the temperature will drop at the beginning of November.

Late December and early January will be the coldest period of the winter, they added. The temperature could go down to around 14-16 degrees Celsius (57-60F), and 17-19 degrees Celsius (62-66F) in the lower part of the northern region. It is estimated that the weather will be colder than last year.

The city now has a special administration centre responsible for winter disasters, such as bush fires and drought.

Thai Beverage Ltd. will also help distribute 15,000 blankets in November to 12 Districts of Chiang Mai – Mae On, Om Koi, Doi Tao, Mae Ai, Chai Prakarn, Mae Jaem, Jom Thong, Wiang Haeng, Samoeng, Mae Wang, Doi Saket and Mae Taeng.

Oh well, I suppose it’s time to ‘chain-up’ again.
