Pattaya – Motorcycle Theft Gang Member Steals Motorcycle And Collides With Irish Tourist

At around 04.00 AM, Police Lt. Wuttipong Trakulwaruttunti of Pattaya City police station was informed that a motorcycle had collided into a foreign tourist at Naklua Road. After the incident was reported he immediately went out along with his on-duty police officers to investigate the incident. A voluntary rescue team was dispatched as well.

The tourist has been identified as Mr. Keith Ward, age 23, an Irish national.

He was reported to be unconscious when the police and rescue team arrived at the scene.

He was also reported to be reported to injured on his head and right leg, which is believed to be broken.

He was then gives first-aid by the rescue team before he was sent to a nearby hospital.

A Thai man also found at the scene, he was unconscious as well. A motorcycle was found next to him, the motorcycle was identified as a Honda Wave 125i in white. The Thai man who was injured as well was identified as 23 year-old Sukda Buajaroen, he confessed to the police that he was drunk while he driving the motorcycle, making him collide with the Irish tourist.

Initially, he was sent to a nearby hospital but he insisted not be treated by the hospital.

Police then investigated Mr. Sukda’s motorocycle, it was then identified as a stole motorcycle that was reported to the police just a few hours before the incident. Police then contacted Mr. Sombut Nambumrung, when he went to the police station to pick up his motorcycle, he was shocked, ‘shocked, I’d say!’ by the damaged state of his motorcycle. He did confirm that it indeed was his motorcycle that was stolen earlier that day. Mr. Sukda, the suspect will now be prosecuted by the police. Police will now expand the case in hopes to catch the motorcycle theft gang that hired Mr. Sukda to steal and change the motorcycle’s appearance.
