Pattaya: 2 French members of suspected credit-card fraud ring arrested

Regional and immigration police captured two French nationals who allegedly used counterfeit credit cards to steal more than 10 million baht ($322,000 USD) from Thai ATMs.

Nagim Hassainia, 33, and Samir Raihane, 41, were captured in their north Pattaya hotel rooms Jan. 14. A team of Pattaya, Chonburi Provincial and Immigration Department Transnational Crime investigators seized 31 fake cards and 125,000 baht from the two men and their belongings.

Police claim the two men confessed to being part of a larger credit-card crime ring and worked for 30 percent of whatever cash they withdrew. To date, they’d taken more than 10 million baht out of machines from Chiang Mai to Phuket, police said.

Other gang members are believed to still be operating in Thailand.

Pattaya – Police raid venues for illegal sex trade

The Anti-Human Trafficking Division made a series of arrests in the early hours of the 21st of January.

Working on a tip-off they went to Baan Yen Sabai, within Soi Daengdum Thepprasit where they knew that women were offering sexual services.

They witnessed a total of 16 women offering their services to passersby for 1500 baht ($47.62 USD), and after identifying themselves police arrested all the women and the owner of the premises.

They were all taken to the station where they were processed and fined 500 baht each before being released.

Meanwhile another team of officers detained more women selling sexual services from many other venues such as the Rak Jung bar in South Pattaya, the Ruu-Jai bar,the KK bar.

It seems unlikely that the fine of 500 baht ($15.87 USD) will serve as much of a deterrent to these women, who can make that kind of money in a few moments. (yeah, you think?)

Pattaya – Russian hotel thieves arrested

Pattaya police called a press conference whereby they presented two Russian nationals. 31 year old Mr. Denis Vladimir Putin Skvortsov and 23 year old miss Antonian Vladimir Putin Pavlova, both of whom had been robbing guests at various high-end hotels in Pattaya for many months.

Pol. Lt. Col. Prapansak Prasansuk stated that the Chonburi Immigration Department had received requests from 30 local hotels all of whom were aware that a Russian couple were using various methods to steal from their guests, ultimately damaging the image of the hotels and tourism in general.

The couple would prey on financially well off guests, sometimes the woman would offer herself sexually to the guests, and steal a copy of his room key or simply steal from him whilst he slept. DUMMIES!

On other occasions they would re-enter the room whilst the guest was out then they would dress as if they were just out of the shower and call the housemaid, to open the room safe.

Their luck ran out when they were identified robbing a hotel, so the Pattaya courthouse issued an arrest warrant and the couple were eventually arrested in Pong Namron district in Chantaburi as they were trying to flee the kingdom.

Their apartment in soi lengkee was then searched and over 400 items consisting of cash, cameras, passports keys to various hotel rooms, a computer, laptops and credit cards belonging to their unfortunate victims were all gathered as evidence.

Photographs of naked women dealing cards and facilitating gambling have hit Thai internet pages. The photographs show the women surrounded by gamblers with Thai signs explaining gambling rules and Thai money being used to bet at the tables. It is, therefore, believed the illegal casino is located in Thailand.

These photographs have been widely forwarded on the Internet these past couple of days. In one of the shots, the woman, standing bare chested in a group of gamblers, has the duty of rolling the dice. However, so far, no one has been able to identify exactly where the casino is located. If it it found, local police officers in the area could be found guilty of malfeasance.

Acting Deputy Metropolitan Police Commander Police Lieutenant General Pisit Pisutsak said he is still unsure if the photographs are genuine. If the photos are real, it signals a significant evolving of illegal gambling dens in Thailand which are now using naked women to lure gamblers into their establishments. If the dens are found in Bangkok, perpetrators will be convicted according to the law.

Pattaya – Two Iranians hurt in fight

Two Iranian tourists were seriously injured following a fight involving three other men, thought to be of middle-eastern origin, in the early hours of Wednesday in South Pattaya.

The two badly injured men, Mr. Mohamad Lezai 30 and Mr. Amin ‘Vita Corleone’ Gotfather (see photo) aged 24 were rushed to Hospital where Police took-up the case and determined the attack took place in Soi 16 off Walking Street and although limited information was available, it is thought they were attacked with knives and broken bottles by three other middle-eastern men.

The two injured men sustained serious head and neck wounds along with facial injuries and are both in a serious but stable condition in Hospital.

Police are now speaking with friends of the victim’s in an attempt to gain further insight into the altercation which remains a mystery for now.

Pattaya – Indian Tourist reports theft of necklace

An Indian Tourist, assisted by his Thai Tourist Guide, reported the theft of a gold necklace at Pattaya Police Station on Tuesday Afternoon.

Mr. Mukesh Nandlal ‘dumbass’ Gurnani aged 32 told Police that on Monday Night he went for a walk along Pattaya Beach and was approached by a Thai Woman, Khun Laddawan aged 29, who suggested the pair return to his Hotel room, in exchange for her receiving 1,000 Baht ($31.25 USD) for her time.

Mr. Gurnani accepted the deal and the pair returned to the Siam Bayview Hotel in Central Pattaya. Reception Staff took a copy of Khun Laddawan’s Thai ID card prior to her entering the Hotel, which was presented to Police. Mr. Gurnani explained that after intercourse, she made an excuse to leave.

Mr. Gurnani later discovered that his bag had been cut open and a gold necklace worth around 70,000 Baht (Holy Crap! $2,188 USD) had been stolen. Police have issued an arrest warrant for Khun Laddawan and would like to warn all Tourists that meeting strangers and inviting them back to your Hotel Room carries many dangers (Nut & Ners?) and they advise against it (really?).

Pattaya – “Ladyboy” Pageant contestant Throws A Tantrum She Lost His Crown

The video clip titled “ Miss Tiffany 2011(The 1st runner up) throws a tantrum” It was posted by somsaimalaiporn on 12thJanuary 2011.The written message below the video clip said “Runner ups, Nut & Ners from a famous agency throw a tantrum” The video clip showed two transgenders together, hotly arguing with another in front of the audience.

There were many reactions from the viewers, some said that transgender contestants were the first runners up in 2009 and 2011, but this time they got upset and flew into a rage then accused the winner of wire pulling. In spite of the accusation against Miss Tiffany, some viewers blamed the runner ups’ action and they left comments as follows:

“There’s no kind-hearted pageants left nowadays, they just flame when they don’t feel right”

“A Beauty pageant contest is not all about superficial beauty, talent and manners are also important. That’s why the Q’s and A’s part is always be the final. Nut is actually more pretty but with this kind of mind, That’s no surprises ,you were eliminated.”

Pattaya – Naked Bar worker causes a stir; and I suspect, a few ‘woodies’

A naked Bar Girl stood on the top of a car in Central Pattaya, early on Friday Morning after a night of heavy drinking.

Police were called to the Central Pattaya Road intersection with Pattaya Second Road just before 5am and were met with a scene of chaos as the naked 36 year old bar employee,

Khun Sukontra, was standing on the roof of a White Mazda 2 which was later found to belong to her.

Police were not prepared to place their hands on the naked woman and enlisted female helpers who eventually dragged her off the car and assisted Police to take her to Pattaya Police Station where her younger sister, Khun Sutatip aged 29 explained that her older sister would often lose control of herself when she drank heavily and this incident was a good example of what can happen, although she has never seen her strip naked in public before.

Police did not file charges against Khun Sukontra but placed her behind bars for a few hours allowing her to recover from the effects of the alcohol.
